Location: Bangalore, India
Region: Bruqe APAC
Team: Research & Market Intelligence
Level: Associate
Employment Type: Fixed-term
Reporting To: Engagement Lead, APAC
The Role
Bruqe is seeking a Market Intelligence Researcher to develop rigorous, decision-relevant perspectives on markets, industries, competitors, technologies, and emerging strategic shifts.
You will support advisory engagements and internal intelligence-building initiatives by converting broad and fragmented information into clear market insight. The role requires strong research judgement, commercial curiosity, and the ability to distinguish structural developments from short-term noise.
What You Will Do
-
Conduct structured research across market dynamics, value chains, customer behaviour, competitive landscapes, investment activity, and technology developments.
-
Develop market landscapes, competitor profiles, sector briefings, trend assessments, and strategic intelligence reports.
-
Monitor and assess emerging signals that may affect industry structures, demand, pricing, regulation, innovation, or competitive advantage.
-
Analyse the strategic implications of market developments for client growth, positioning, investment, partnership, and capability decisions.
-
Work with advisory, data, and foresight colleagues to integrate market intelligence into scenarios, system maps, and strategic frameworks.
-
Prepare clear, concise, and evidence-led materials for internal and client audiences.
-
Maintain high standards of source assessment, documentation, analytical traceability, and factual accuracy.
What You Will Bring
-
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in economics, business, finance, international relations, public policy, engineering, science, or a related discipline.
-
Experience in market research, competitive intelligence, consulting, investment research, corporate strategy, journalism, or a similarly analytical environment.
-
Strong ability to structure research questions, synthesise disparate evidence, and identify the implications that matter to a decision.
-
Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with confidence translating complex information into executive-ready insight.
-
Familiarity with research databases, financial and market data sources, and analytical tools; advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities are expected.
-
Curiosity about industries, technology, business models, and macroeconomic or policy developments across the Asia-Pacific region.
-
Rigour, sound judgement, and a high level of attention to detail.
What Success Looks Like
You will produce intelligence that is accurate, differentiated, and directly useful to strategic decision-making. Your work will help Bruqe and its clients understand how markets are changing, which developments warrant attention, and where emerging opportunities or risks may materially affect the path ahead.
