The Role

Bruqe is seeking a Geopolitical & Policy Intelligence Associate to support strategic engagements where political, regulatory, trade, institutional, and macroeconomic developments may materially affect client decisions.

You will analyse the external forces shaping markets, investments, supply chains, technology adoption, and strategic direction across jurisdictions. The role requires sound research judgement, an ability to interpret complex policy environments, and the discipline to translate geopolitical developments into specific commercial and strategic implications.

What You Will Do

• Research and assess geopolitical, regulatory, trade, macroeconomic, and institutional developments relevant to client decisions.

• Develop country, market, and policy profiles that identify material risks, dependencies, opportunities, and sources of uncertainty.

• Monitor policy and political signals affecting industries, capital flows, supply networks, technology, energy, infrastructure, and cross-border operations.

• Analyse how stakeholder incentives, regulatory shifts, trade relationships, and institutional dynamics may shape plausible future outcomes.

• Support scenario development, systems mapping, and risk assessments across client engagements.

• Translate external developments into clear implications for market entry, investment, portfolio, sourcing, partnership, and resilience decisions.

• Prepare concise, well-sourced client materials for senior corporate, investment, and public-sector audiences.

What You Will Bring

• An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in international relations, public policy, economics, political science, law, business, or a related discipline.

• Experience in geopolitical research, public policy, government advisory, consulting, international development, political-risk analysis, journalism, investment research, or a comparable field.

• Strong understanding of how policy, regulation, institutions, trade, and macroeconomic conditions affect commercial and strategic outcomes.

• Excellent research, synthesis, and written communication skills, with the ability to distinguish meaningful developments from transient commentary.

• Familiarity with regional political economies and cross-border business environments; experience covering the Americas is advantageous.

• Strong judgement, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working with ambiguity and incomplete information.

• The ability to communicate complex external developments with precision, balance, and practical relevance.

Your work will identify the geopolitical and policy forces that can alter strategic outcomes, enabling leaders to anticipate risk, recognise opportunity, and preserve flexibility as conditions evolve.
