Team: Research & Market Intelligence
Level: Associate
Employment Type: Fixed-term
Reporting To: Engagement Lead, EMEA

The Role

Bruqe is seeking a Research & Intelligence Associate to strengthen the evidence base behind strategic advisory engagements across markets, sectors, technologies, and policy environments.

You will conduct rigorous, decision-relevant research for client work involving growth, investment, market entry, technology, resilience, and long-term transition. The role requires the ability to distinguish meaningful signals from surface-level information, synthesising diverse evidence into clear perspectives that support senior decision-making.

What You Will Do

  • Design and execute research workstreams across industry dynamics, companies, technologies, policy, investment, and market developments.

  • Identify, assess, and synthesise information from public, proprietary, and specialist sources.

  • Develop concise sector overviews, market landscapes, competitor profiles, trend assessments, and intelligence briefings.

  • Support hypothesis development by identifying evidence that confirms, challenges, or refines the team’s point of view.

  • Translate research findings into structured client materials, including executive summaries, exhibits, and decision frameworks.

  • Maintain high standards of source quality, analytical traceability, and factual accuracy.

  • Contribute to Bruqe’s internal knowledge base and reusable intelligence assets across priority themes and sectors.

What You Will Bring

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in economics, business, finance, international relations, public policy, science, engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in business research, consulting, investment research, market intelligence, policy analysis, journalism, or a comparable analytical field.

  • Strong research discipline and judgement, including the ability to assess source credibility and reconcile conflicting evidence.

  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to synthesise complex information with clarity and precision.

  • Confidence working with structured datasets, research databases, and presentation tools; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools is expected.

  • Curiosity across markets, technology, policy, and business, combined with a meticulous approach to detail.

What Success Looks Like

You will deliver reliable, well-structured intelligence that improves the quality and speed of strategic decision-making. Your work will enable engagement teams to identify the signals that matter, challenge assumptions with evidence, and give clients a more complete view of the landscape ahead.
